I was wondering who would be interested in this. I may start it after the favorite guitarists poll is over. My idea is called artist of the week. Each week I would pick an artist(the artist of the week) and people would submit list of the artist's best songs.
Give me some feedback.

Sounds good. How would you select the artist for each week?

Now that I've been thinking about it, maybe I could do one 50's artist, then one 60's artist, and so on. But most artists span over multiple decades.

How about an artist (or bandmember of a group) that has a birthday that particular week. Sort of a celebratory exercise.
