I stumbled across this page while looking for decade lists to include.
Many of these appear to be lists by individual writers or blogs, but I suspect there many be some eligible lists we haven't encountered in there somewhere!
I don't have time to go through all of them, but it seems like a good potential source for lists!
I love how when you're reading the Indie lists, you just know that Funeral will be #1, and it never dissapoints. If these are eligible than Funeral should have a pretty nice jump.

Alexa ranking not (quite) good enough.

I couldn't find this list (is it gone?), but here's an alltime list that seems eligible.

Not just indie, but Indian indie! This one has a borderline Alexa ranking, but anyway I don't we should add national lists to the spreadsheet if there ain't no accompanying international list.
The current Alexa ranking is OK, but it seems as if they've come from nowhere and have had an extraordinary last week (maybe because of the '00s list?) and the number of sites linking in is just 31. Moreover, there seem to be only three writers, so I don't think this list should be included.

Hmmm, no doubt this site has a lot of readers, but popeater doesn't seem to do any music reviews, just music/celebrity news. I'm not sure how I have handled cases like this in the past. Comments/opinions are welcome.
Good question, John. I'm not exactly sure, but it has turned out to be something like this:
1. If it's a music site only with several contributors, the Alexa site ranking is <1,000,000 and the number of sites linking in is >100 then it should be eligible.
2. If none of these are fulfilled then it's not eligible.
3. When one or two of them are fulfilled we're in the grey zone and then it has be be decided on a case by case basis.
I like it as it is. this site I believe is about the view of professionals on music, about lists from well known and respected sources and diluting it and making it less transparent by adding some fan sites doesnt help its cause Im afraid. If you allow smaller lists to be included then you cant cover all of them which would help some artists over others depending on which corner the afflux of lists come from.
Saying that I hope Nettavisen is deemed eligible (even though Im not familiar with it as its Norwegian press) as In Rainbows definitely needs to improve its rest of the world position.
Not quite clear on the Alexa rankings. I know what they are, but is it something that you just recently started using, Henrik? If so, has/will the entire AM site be re-edited to delete the non-Alexa qualifying lists? I haven't heard the term before this thread. Granted, I don't frequent these forums enough...

The Alexa ranking comes from this thread:

I haven't used the criteria before, but I've checked some of my older sources and almost all of them are OK. This is more or less a modern issue, with all the webzines and blogs.
Countryuniverse OK when it's counted down to #1. Note that according to Alexa, 35.9 of the visitors are from Pakistan!!!
Popeater probably not OK. See above about their songs list.
SaladDaysMusic Top 80 albums: Alexa rank of 303,194 and 538 sites linking in. Only 3 contributors, so I'm not sure if it's eligible.
Moonbeam, you're making things difficult for me! I think I'm gonna say no here because of the low number of writers that probably aren't professional critics. But maybe it would make more sense to go strictly after the Alexa ranking? 538 linking sites is quite impressive...

Sorry, Henrik! Thanks again for taking the time to look at all of these. I just figure that the more comprehensive the decade lists are, the better! I don't really have any opinion about where to draw the line, so to speak.

Three contributors, but only one guy did this list, taken from site:
"Welcome to day two of my favorite albums of the aughts. I should remind everyone that these are MY favorite albums of the past decade, which coincidentally means they might not be the same as yours. Compiling this list was an arduous task and honestly it could be different every single day depending on my mood. It just so happens that this is the final product of months of work and is what goes out on the internets for everyone to see.
Anyways I hope you enjoy and maybe even stumble upon something you haven’t heard in awhile."
OESQEMA's Top 100 Albums: Alexa and sites linking in are ok, but I'm not sure how many contributors there are, as I don't speak Portguese! I think "os" means our, though, so it seems to be multiple.

I see that State was included in last year's 2008 Albums list, so I'm assuming it's ok here, too.
