Here's how it works, everyone gets 100 chips to wager on the below propositions. Max wager of 25, minimum of 5. The object is to end up with the most chips. Over/under bets are even odds. The deadline is Dec. 10.

5) Which U2 album will place the highest, "All That You Can't Leave Behind," "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" or "No Line on the Horizon"? (3-1 odds on all three.)
6) How many Brittany Spears, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and Beyonce albums combined will be in the top 100? (over/under: 0.5)

It probably wont place as high as other "classics" that they gave 5 stars like Goddess In The Doorway
Mick Jagger or the "masterpiece" To The 5 Boroughs
by the Beastie Boys ;-)
Anybody up for a side bet on whether an R.E.M. album gets in?
I would guess yes. If any outlet is going to plump for a band almost two decades past its peak, this is it. I think Accelerate is the likeliest candidate, with Reveal as a possible dark horse.
(Neither album really deserves it--even I know that.)
Well, I got a bunch wrong but at least I put my chips on the right spots. I can't believe I didn't take the 6:1 odds on the Blueprint. I always forget that was released in '01... I don't know how seeing it was released on a day everyone should remember.
