Day hikes

I've read where the road from Canyon to Dunraven Pass may or may not be closed this year. What I'm looking for are day hikes on the east side of Yellowstone other than Grand Canyon of Yellowstone & Mt. Washburn which will avoid the prposed closed areas of the tour road. Any suggestions & THANKS!!!

Re: Day hikes

Hi from Jackson Hole - a good day hike and not very heavily traveled is the Teton Canyon access from Driggs Idaho... it's called the Table Mountain trail... absolutely one of the best unknown trails in the range for it's view of the Grand Teton... and can be done in a day, if your reasonably in shape and pack food water and sunscreen!!
