Some info on the BSA.
The bike was despatched from the factory on the 19 dec 1938 to Rowland Smith & Co, London, it still has its Original motor and reg number ,FLH 36.
I purchased the bike on the 2-1-2012 from a Mr Watson , hove , Sussex, he purchased the bike on 1-1-1977 from a Mr Herbert Lummus Family, 80 Rowan Ave,Hove Sussex, i did try and find him ,but he had passed away inFeb 1972
he had owned the bike a long time , i have an insurance doc dated 19 July 1951 in Mr Lummus’s name.
The bike is missing a few parts, ie mag, upper chain guard, wiring loom, horn, rear stays for rear mudguard, i have had the speedo repaired and a new rear number plate made for it
, not had a look at the engine or gearbox since i got it, other projects has got in the way,its only for sale now as i have planning on a building in the garden, so will need to make some room. it would make more if i sold it as spares, in does have a V5c in my name, and is on sorn
looking for 4k for it, would make a very nice bike when done, not a lot of these’s bikes about, this model use’s a lot of the m24 parts, ie tank etc.
I might break it ,if there is interest.
