Wanted - information and Model C gearbox cover

Hi all,

Abit of advice, I have an early gearbox for my 1940 RE Model C. The outer plate, and a small half moon rear cover is broken - missing. Speaking to Hitchcocks they did not recognise the box so thought I would ask on here.

Please note the cover is longer than what you would assume is the Model C box. Were these earlier designs?

I have attached a photo of the box in a pre war Model C. Does anyone know where I could get the two bits I am missing? I will have to get one of the half moon rear cover when home.

It says HP923 on the casing if that helps with ID.
