The main differences that I know of is the headstock angle is increased on the tele models to avoid the front mudguard colliding with the front down tube. (You can fit girders in a tele frame but not tele's in a girder frame). Also the front down tube to engine plates looks different and I believe the post war models had sidecar lugs as standard.
