BSA instruction posters/charts.

Not dated but probably wartime?,these large posters/charts are 39 inches x 29 inches in size, they were probably used in the classroom as part of training DRs before going on to practical training.

Re: BSA instruction posters/charts.

Some copies of those would make perfect wall decoration Steve.

Re: BSA instruction posters/charts.

I'm inclined to think from the colours and style that these may be slightly post-war...Maybe an early 1950s look to them. There was probably still a need to quickly train National Servicemen.

Incidentally, does the carb drawing show a correct fuel level roughly in line with the top of the pilot air screw head ? I'd assumed that it should be at the centre line of the screw, but this indicates that fuel has to merge with the air stream above the screw level. It's just below the top of the needle jet. No wonder the blasted things leak and overflow so easily if everything is not spot-on !

Re: BSA instruction posters/charts.

They are lovely, but I agree with Rik, more likely just postwar because of the number of colours, but as they appear to be printed in house by BSA maybe I'm wrong?

Re: BSA instruction posters/charts.

I thought these looked familiar

I found documents from the Irish army motorcycle training manual with hand drawn versions of these
It’s clear they had based these drawings on the bsa issued diagrams seen here

They were dated as Training instruction No 30 in 1949 but a note on the cover noted that this edition rendered Ti 30 from 1943 obsolete
