I have a question regarding the "clip" retainer on the bottom.
The one shown here is a flat spring type clip.
I have one the is a "T" type that appears to be cast with an internal spring.
Can anyone comment on the differences? wartime type, postwar type?
I am still not able to post pictures and apologize.

The 'T' shaped die cast clip and 'spectacle' shaped wire spring are for an MU42 headlamp...These were the post war replacement headlamps supplied to the Army...Apart from the clip the rim, glass, shell and reflector differ from a wartime DU42...
