Just at the same stage: fitting girders to my empty frame. I've got them on, but the spring is touching the bottom of the steering head and the top crossmember of the girder. Is this because the forks aren't under load or have I screwed up somehow? 😳
That usually happens till the weight of the bike levels things out. I put pieces of cardboard behind the spring to protect the paint which will fall out once under load. Ron
