Steering bearing conversion query

Hi all,

I've fitted sealed steering bearings to my WM21. The top faces of the inner and outer races are flush / level. My query is, do these need a thin spacer / washer for the inner races, to allow the top and bottom yokes space to turn?

Hope this makes sense.

Regards,

Craig

Re: Steering bearing conversion query

I had to do just that with shims to mine. It's a nasty experience when the top yoke rubs on the outer race:scream: Ron

Re: Steering bearing conversion query

Thank you both; I thought I was missing something. Looks like a couple of thin shims are the solution...

WM20 2966 is coming together slowly with a lot of help from you all.

My regards,

Craig

A bit of a saga on the subject if anyone is interested.

Hi Ian,
Would you be kind enough to also share your fitting instructions with me? I'm also about to fit sealed headstock bearings.
