Hi
Do any of you know how to get the Jet block out of the carb body?
I know it is pushed in, but how do I free it with out any damage.
Its just for cleaning, bike sat for about 50 years

Use a wooden or nylon drift near the same diameter as the jet block. Hold the carb in one hand while you drift it out with the other. Often some heat is beneficial. Warm it beforehand with boiling water or a gas blow lamp. Ron

The jet block can indeed sistort very easily. It's a three-piece soldered construction. Have a look at the special tool which Michiel developed and showed in this thread :-

I can confirm that it works well and the double diameter head avoids any distortion of the tube.

I stand the body in a pan of boiling water for a few minutes prior to removal and refitment.
