The WM20's kickstart spring broke. No worries, I've laid in 2 spares. For 25 fucking years those springs sat in the spares cupboard waiting for the day I'd realise they don't fit.
I detached the wartime label and cleaned the Cosmolene of an NOS 16H gear lever return spring. It lasted one ride round the block before breaking ! Does spring steel go off with age ? :grimacing:
