66-3064 gearbox cover, correct kickstart spring?

I have one of the early 66-3064 gearbox covers. There's clear information on the forum that I need the narrow (37-38) kickstart spring, but I'm having trouble finding the correct part number. It might be 27-4170... which doesn't seem to be available any longer. Would a 24-4300 spring work? Or perhaps a 65-3135?

p.s., if anyone in the US needs a 66-3058 spring, I have an extra ;)

The spring part number is 66-3058 (From the WD parts list for contract C9310)...It's also the same in the 1940 contract No.C6125 which commenced in October '39....Ian

Re: 66-3064 gearbox cover, correct kickstart spring?

Thanks Ian. But 66-3058 doesn’t fit with that cover. 66-3058 has 6 coils. Because of the strengthening ribs around the kickstart shaft, the total height of the spring doesn’t allow the kickstart ratchet to fully seat.

According to Neale Gentner’s excellent gearbox info (below), it sounds like 24-4300 is correct, with 65-3135 as a potential backup, but I was hoping someone with a 66-3064 cover could confirm.
