The tank looks ok, but there were 4-5 different shapes for Matchless during the war. But that one might be post war if the bayonette filler cap is anything to go by. The correct cap is the internal grip pie crust cap.
The saddle and it's cover look reasonable enough although its been jacked up some. The O/S saddle spring is correct but the other one is a later war universal spring that has been lashed on.
The rear carrier and handlebar levers are post war civilian. The tool box/horn/headlamp are all missing. It's worth considering that the absolute correct parts could cost up to 3 grand when you can ever find them. Ron

yes post war fuel tank, wrong exhaust, probably wrong seat, wrong left side riders foot rest, like you say lex the rear stays are wrong, it looks like its been brushed with something the make look older but i spoes it was a display bike, other than that it all seems ok, not a bad project
