Just bought a matchless G3l. Looking for some info

I just bought a Matchless G3l and would like to know the year of manufacture.
It looks to have a rebuilt motor with serial number 48933.
Chassis contract no. Tag says 294/23/S.6150
Tank no. C5478269

The actual Frame number is on the frame tube just above the oil tank. Ron
