Which piston ring gap is left vacant and why?
Do the new rings have a right or wrong way up?
Presume the ring with the slot is the oil ring does this have a right or wrong way up?
The top groove is vacant. The oil ring with slots is in the bottom groove. They would be marked TOP if they need to be fitted that way. The ring gap measured in the bore before being fitted to the piston is 8-12 thou. Ron
