Rear brake plate

Hi again,
I’m wondering if anyone has encountered this problem:
My rear brake sprocket hub is rubbing against the brake plate and making an annoying grinding sound when the wheel is turning. I’m guessing they shouldn’t be touching but can’t figure out how to separate them.

Things I’ve checked: right side spacer is correct (0.58”), new modern bearings with the 2 cup spacers machined down to compensate for wider bearings as recommended on another thread.

Is there something I’m missing?

Thanks

Re: Rear brake plate

Have you got 15-7047 spacer in place? It's very easy to forget.
It goes on the inner bearing sleeve 15-7046 before going through the bearings.

Yes, and I’ve confirmed it’s the correct size aswel.

Re: Rear brake plate

I've often had to fit a thin washer (shim) under a brake plate to eliminate any touching. Ron

Re: Rear brake plate

I did that today and it worked. After 7 years my bike is officially complete and riding beautifully. 🎉
