Coloured shrink tubing...

Can anyone suggest a supplier for the coloured shrink tubing that many use as cable identifiers when rewiring?.....Ian

Re: Coloured shrink tubing...

Hi Ian, I purchased 1/2 dozen colours for a Rudge that I recently restored from RS Components here in Australia but I'm sure RS is UK company.

Ian, take your pick on Ebay.

I have a carrier bag full of it bought very cheaply from a couple of suppliers. Ron

Re: Coloured shrink tubing...

What diameter cable does it need to go over Ian?
I have enough for a few life times based on the speed I work at.
If what I have is suitable I could post some out to you FOC.

Re: Coloured shrink tubing...

The biggest problem with most of the selection packs of heat shrink is the restricted range of colours and the enormous selection of sizes that we simply don't need.

The purple on the regulator "A" terminal and the horn are quite prominent and it's a colour that few packs include. I recall searching quite a few autojumble stands to find a length. I'm still not 100% happy with the shade, but it's better than nothing.
