Norton 16H sidecar fitting

Hi all,

Does anyone happen to have any pictures of the rear frame fitting of a Swallow sidecar on a Norton 16H?
I've managed to find a 1930's Swallow sidecar, but I'm puzzled about how to attach it to the rear frame.
The fitting I have seems to require threaded sidecar mounts (or is modified to use threaded mounts).
But when I look at the WD 16h I have, there doesn't seem to be thread nor does there seem to be enough space to fit a nut between the rear frame and rear brake plate?

Thanks,

Niek

Re: Norton 16H sidecar fitting

The Swallow model 8 was fitted to a Norton chassis on a 16H. I remember that I had to use a very thin nut on the rear coupling when I fitted one to mine. (A swallow chassis was used on BSA M20's) Ron

Hi Niek,

If you live in the Netherlands you can contact me to have a look how mine's attached. I've bought Ron's sidecar.

Kind regards,
Sven
