licence plate

So now another Welsh problem, (dilemma)
What are peoples thoughts on the licence plate layouts?
I've come to the conclusion there is no legal standard other than the character height and thickness.
The characters must white and be permanently attached to a black background.
I'm using one of Jan's rear number plates, so my thought was to have the background Black to the edge of the rim.
The characters, two across the top and four on the lower line.

Does this sound ok, or am I being foolish?

Re: licence plate

They've given you two letters and four numbers ? If so, then it has to be "two and four" as the numbers shouldn't be split.

Pre-and early-war number plate brackets were all-over gloss black. As you're fitting one out of necessity to a later bike, it's up to you what you think looks best really, there is no right or wrong.

Re: licence plate

I posted an answer with pix on how I do it on your build thread. Ron

Re: licence plate

Thanks Ron,

To be honest I don't like it. Sorry

Overwhelmed at work at the moment, but I'll do a drawing to show what I had in mind.

Re: licence plate

As Rik said, they would have been black all over, but since they were deleted early on in the war. "Artistic Licence" prevails to do whatever you want. Ron
