I've seen a couple of 16Hs with a side stand attached to the lower rear triangle rail. Any one know if that's 7/8th"" or 1" clamp fitting?

I have a sidestand fitted to the lower rail of my WD16H which is very useful.
The lower rail is 7/8" diameter.

I had heard stories of the aftermarket sidestands rotating when the bike is resting on them. To prevent this on my WM20 I put a couple a blobs of mig weld on the frame after I had fitted and tightened the clamps in the remaining gap between the two halves of the clamp to act as stops. It's not rotated even when loaded with all my camping gear.

It initially rotated on my M21 and did the chaincase no good. It also lifted the back wheel on a corner so I cut half the foot off.Thanks Nick!
