Greetings all, I am slowly assembling a Bitza and have installed one of Mr. Wright’s piston kits; it occurs to me to enquire about the need to modify crankcase breather capacity.

Going from 500cc to the 700+ cc displacement with the piston kit; venting the crankcase using the original flapper valve arrangement would seem restrictive.

Any observation?

All the M20 based 720s I've built have run on the standard breather and it seems to cope OK...My B33 at 720cc couldn't cope however, probably down to the higher revs, so I fitted an additional breather valve and that solved the problem...Ian

Ah, Mr. Wright himself! Thank you for the conformation. I shall proceed on with the stock breather mechanism.
