I have just acquired frame WM20 69735. O&M lists this as contract number C12424, an order for 8000 machines in 1941. The buff log book gives registration in May 1968, so I guess it left the military around then. Any other information on this frame or those close to it will be much apppreciated.
Indeed, this is a contract C/12424 number. It was despatched from the factory in November 1942. The war time census numbers for contract C/12424 were C4699545 - C4707544. This bike would have been C4705832. It is listed in the post war Key Cards, which means that it served in the BAOR after the war. Lex can do you a high resolution scan of this particular Key Card. The post war registration number was 14ZC51.
