Crank fixings for oiltell tale

Has anyone have crank fixing for the banjo bolt to screw into for the tell tale oil indicator pipe.or info on size of threads needed to make one.

Re: Crank fixings for oiltell tale

Peter. I used a B31 rocker oil feed banjo bolt on my prewar HM20.

Re: Crank fixings for oiltell tale

I bought a set of WM21 crankcases recently with parts of this set up still remaining, interestingly the pipe outlet had been soldered up.

The outer banjo bolt is 5/16" 26tpi cycle, the banjo is tapered each side, the inner part is not going to come out easily so I may need to use heat, I'm not going to rush into that at the moment because its likely to ruin the ball valve spring, but if Jan is already making this part I would suggest getting one from him, his work is exceptional.

As Hamish said, the B31 rocker feed bolts are the same and you can drill the little hole out to suit.

Re: Crank fixings for oiltell tale

The oil fitting with the double tapers is the same as that on the ends of an A7/A10 or B31/33 rocker feed pipe...Ian

And I have a spare brand new pipe with banjo. It came with the union nuts that I ordered but I don't need the pipe. Ron

Re: Crank fixings for oiltell tale

I wonder what the ball preasure valve looks like inside these fittings?
