War & Peace Revival Show

It seems that the above mentioned show, or "Beltring" to use the other name is now history.....

Recent announcement confirms it's cancelled until further notice.....there is a name and email for anyone seeking further info, interestingly the latter an insolvency company.....

It all seemed to change following the retirement of Rex and then the transfer of ownership and the inexplicable relocation to Folkestone......the ultimate move back to Paddock Wood was short-lived, in part due to Covid that didn't assist any events......

As mentioned, now part of history......

That's a pity...I enjoyed the show and was hoping it would come back after the covid 'shutdown'...Ian

Re: War & Peace Revival Show

The relocation to Folkstone was done during Rex's watch after he fell out with the owners of the Hop Farm. Then John Allison took over and was kicked out of Folkstone Racecourse as Balfour Beatty needed the site for extensive civil engineering works in that part of Kent. John renegotiated with the Hop Farm and it all looked good again. But what with Covid and Brexit, things just went down hill.

A real shame that we've lost it! Ron

Just up the road from me , a few shows have stopped because of the War in Ukraine !

Re: War & Peace Revival Show

Severn Valley Railway idiotically dropped their wartime weekend Festival, out of deference to Ukraine, thus forgoing quite a bit of much needed funding. They could have gone ahead and donated a % of the gate to a Ukraine charity.
