Hello, can you explain to me the clock wise or anticlock wise for speedo drive or the speedometer?i have found two speedometers one is SMITHS CHRONOMETRIC S.433/M AND THE OTHER IS S433M OR S433B/EX OR S434B/X ENG JAEGER PATEND.thanks
As Rik explained, unless you have picked up one of the ultra rare anti clock speedos which were sometimes fitted to pre war Royal Enfield's, and also into the war for their WD/G and WD/L models. They all have the same rotation.
The original NOS speedo that I found for my WD/G has a brass plate with the RE part number and AC (anti clock) I've never seen another one. Ron
Hello,i didn't find ultra rare smiths,i found those i told in the other post, but i am comfused with the direction, the sellers speak about clockwise direction or anticlock, thats why i am lookimg for someone to explain
Hi, if you hold the speedometer drive in your left hand, turn it in the direction of travel (forwards/clockwise) it should turn clockwise where the speedo cable fits (clockwise in clockwise out), if it turns anti clockwise it's the wrong one and off a machine with speedo drive fitted on the right hand side.
