Hello ,
Im confused regarding the 2 types of forks used on the WM20 ?
I think Mine has the later war type as it does not have the rubber mounted handlebar yoke .
How are the 2 types distinguished please ?I believe there were 2 different lengths ..where would I measure to be certain please ?
Are there other differences in the 2 types /
Is it possible to fit the early rubber mounted handlebar yoke as I have picked one up recently ?
Are there any photographs please ?

In fact there were 3 types of forks used on wartime M20's. I have all different types in my stock of parts (not for sale):
1939: partnumber 66-5023
1940: partnumber 66-5014
later war: partnumber 66-5016
5023 and 5014 are short forks, these would have had the rubber mounted top yoke. 5016 is the longer fork. You can easily distinguish the forks by the partnumber. The early rubber mounted top yoke can be used on short and long forks without any problems.
A reasonable weight lead plug in the ends of the handlebars will go a very long way to damping out vibrations
Just make sure it is the same left & right .
An extra pound of weight won't affect the performance very much .
