For most of the war, most WD motorcycles didn't have a rear number plate which leaves the choice of fitting a pre- / early-war type, a post-war WD fitment or a 1950s civilian item which does at least allow the installation of a rear lamp which will comply with more recent legislation in most countries (stop lamp and rear reflector).
