Re: fitting my BSA M20 rear wheel

Hi all,

I am struggling with my rear wheel. Part 15-7046 has gone through the maze of bearings etc, and have had my thrust washers reduced on Ron's advice. However when I screw on 15-7049 I don't have any room to add 26-6855 and 26-6861.

I have noticed both the felt washers are different sizes, could this be stopping having the length on the thread to tighten it all up?

Thanks

Danny

Re: fitting my BSA M20 rear wheel

Danny where have you put the felt washers? They should have nothing to do with the assembly of the bearings and spindle. Study the illustration for correct order of assembly. If you've put the felts under the oil retaining caps? Take them out!! Ron

Danny, this is another cross-sectional view of the rear hub that might help.
