Don Fife

I've just been in email conversation with a Canadian guy and talking about Don Fife. He sent me this link to the Canadian War Memorial.

This picture is from 10-12 years ago when we first visited the little shrine. L to R Ian Wright, Me, Henrie, Henk and dear departed Hans Muller. Ron

Re: Don Fife

Nice to see this & the photo taken at the grotto

I haven’t seen Henrie now for many years & wonder if he is still on the bike scene - henrie & his wife were good company on our trips to Normandy

Not forgetting our great buddy Henk either 😬

Re: Don Fife

Obviously the Canadian's couldn't handle the power of our 500 SV's. Ron

Re: Don Fife

Unfortunatly the doc does not give a place name. I assume it is in Europe.
Its after the war ended and I am not sure what it tells us apart from some individual machines used by the Canadians.

Cheers,

Re: Don Fife

Rob, it gives a small indication of the machines allocated to 3 Canadian Anti-Tank Regiment. Maybe worth calculating the frame numbers and running against your list of survivors. They will almost certainly have been disposed of in NL if not transferred to the British Army.

Re: Don Fife

It would be nice indeed to know if any of these motorcycles still exist here in the Netherlands
