I'm looking for some advice on fuel and oil tank cap seals. They both leak on my BSA M20.

I've seen cork 2 and 2.5" seals on eBay but the fuel cap seems to be 3".

Is it a case of DIY cutting only?

I couldn't tell you what the sizes are but I make seals out of cork, they work fairly well & are easy to do. Is it possible to get perfect sealing with these old tank caps?

About .040"-.060" (1-1.5mm) and a reasonably stiff leather if you can find some....Ian
