Just wanted to ask the forum what is the accepted/correct method. Obviously you put grease in the race for the ball bearings, but is there any need for grease between the race and the frame?
i cant se anything wrong with putting a bit of grease between the frame and cups but you still need the maintain earth contact for your headlamp. barry
Actually I think you're supposed to run a separate earth wire from the headlamp to the main frame. Ron

Yes, grease is needed as the race is not pressed in like most bikes and it will tend to move a little bit and cause some wear and rust. Many other people epoxy the bearing race into the frame to keep it from moving.
Thanks for that. It did seem logical to put a little in there to stop corrosion and wear due to vibration etc.
