So many questions !!
trying to identify thread on rear brake spindle 1942 WM20.
Looks like 7/16 something ? (that's the smaller of the 2 threads)
TIA
Baz
Thanks Mark and Ray. Brake lever pivot. Of course, my BSC kit does not have 7/16", Murphy is alive and well.
I have 7/16 BSC nuts, just have to take it easy and work one of them on.

The 7/16" 20 tpi Nut I have is 19.55mm across flats and 9.8mm thick, very corroded. I'm guessing there is a slim nut on the other side, but I don't have one. So no dimensions.

I think that's another one of those 25/32" that BSA were quite fond of using. Ron
It's worth fitting this part to the frame early in the restoration as it gets progressively harder to access the inner nut as the other parts go on...Mark, I can provide you with the dimensions for that nut...I'll find one tomorrow...Ian
The thin nut on the back is 15-1455 0.782" hex 0.218" thick 9/16 CEI
The front one could be 15-0541 0.782" hex 0.281" thick 7/16 CEI
I guess there should be two used of these?
I think it's the other way round Mark. 15-1455 is the front nut (#20 in the illustration,1 off). 15-541 is the rear nut. No dimensions given in this list though. Ron
