Hi ron
This panel is from a bike which had a resistor type device fitted
I believe it was common in the era of 3 brush Dynamo
So perhaps mid 30’s

I had a couple which came with 8” headlight - DU142
I had one in brass at one stage

Pre war missing the resistor for a three brush dynamo. So pre 37.
Used on DU42/C shell which have the mounting bolts fixed in the shell. IE the thread comes from inside the shell, not into it like later DU42
