I've just bought a hydraulic lift. It has a good front wheel clamp, gripping the bottom & front part of the tyre. Any opinions on whether my WM20's girder forks are OK to keep the bike upright while it's being tied down?

Should be fine.
I have a friend with a fold out trailer that has just a wheel clamp and he has no problems with his girder bikes
