'Lovely' gloss leaf green paint job, bright chrome and wrong exhaust. I hope the new owner never has to make an emergency stop with the repro brass brake lever!
Frame number 96412 could be early 1944,petrol tank is possibly post war, if you wanted to put it back to full military spec it could cost another £1500 plus for the parts.
Postwar civvy petrol tank, awful replica webbing grips, incorrect pattern mudguard stays, no pillion seat, braided petrol pipe, Indian brass handlebar levers, no pannier carriers, bags, pannier support tubes etc. etc. and you don't even get a battery!...I think the owner must have bought a cheap job lot of brass fasteners as well...Ian
