Gasket Question KM20

I have been searching the US for the gasket for the clutch cover. Some call it the derby hat. I have found one with twice as many holes as needed. There are plenty in the UK, but shipping quotes are just stupid money. I do get nuts and little stuff sent over for little money, but dealing with eBay shipping insane.
The gasket keeps oil out of the dry clutch. Can I make one from a heavy paper bag. Here in New Jersey no more lplastic bags. So there are plenty of nice heavy paper bags. I have some beautiful cork gasket material. Could I use that? Is heat a problem?
When I removed the derby cover I found a big pile of clutch dust! Then I noticed the clutch plates look new and in perfect condition. The chain also looks new.

Please advise.
Thanks,
Charlie

Re: Gasket Question KM20

Very easy to make one from gasket paper or a corn flake box with a smear of silicon. The originals are quite thin.
BTW, we call it a "Bowler Hat"

Re: Gasket Question KM20

I think you are looking in the wrong places, I expect that gasket if it's 15-4316 would be about £2.00ukp though £4.20ukp for uninsured postage.
