Posting for Jock...What transmission is this?

I know someone out there needs it badly. An early unit with the kick-start gear exposed. Likely pre-war. Probably 350cc or smaller.

My guess, is a Burman. For an Ariel possibly by looking at the main
shaft.

I have never seen one like this so really don't know. But am still guessing Ariel????????????????

Any numbers cast in to it or stamped to give me a clue?
