While looking over the (spare) engine on my recently purchased Triumph TRW, I had already seen that the pistons look new. Upon closer inspection the engine appears to be totally rebuilt, happy days. I have most of the original engine with the bike as well, retaining the matching engine and frame numbers.
Looking at the cylinder head which was already removed, it has solid brass blanks in the plug threads. I have never seen this before and can only assume they were used for the purpose of protection for overhauled engines that were waiting to be fitted.
