BSA KM20 / Silver Star rear mudguards -are these so different?

Hi all,

I'm looking for an early war valanced rear mudguard for my 1940 M21. Fingers crossed for autojumbles this summer, but this is a desperate query from the depths of lockdown...

The side profile of late 1930s Silver Star rear mudguards appears similar to those fitted to KM20s and early WM20s. There are some good reproductions of Star mudguards available. Does anyone happen to know if Star rear mudguards are at all similar to the KM20 item? I expect this is a 'no', but just in case...

The catalogue of bikes dated December 1939 shows the M20, M21 and M23 (Silver Star) all had the same rear mudguard.

Thank you both; that's a pleasant surprise! The repros aren't cheap, but at least they're an option if I get no joy elsewhere.
