A quick query: what were the primary chaincase inspection caps made of -brass or aluminium alloy? These things keep me awake...

We have programs to machine the cover and also make the caps either in aluminium or brass. The covers we are happy to machine as a one off, but I'd want to make a small batch of caps to make it worth while setting the machines.
