Can anybody tell me why the lower front mudguards stay/stand is strengthened on the offside?
Many years ago a bloke at a Stanford Hall Rally gave a very convincing reason but for the life of me I can't remember.

I was just looking at my front stand before I paint it on this long rebuild and thought what numpty has broke it and made a slide to go over it. Now I don't need to make or buy another one as it's correct. 😆
