New years postcard from 1943,from what little clues there are I think he is on a Matchless G3?

Great picture...I always thought this was a nice image of a soldier 'writing home'...I don't remember what the original caption was...Ian

Indeed a G3 as the speedo mounting gives it away.

love the look of that jacket, can anyone tell me the correct style etc so i can try to find one exactly like it

I think it's a 37 pattern battledress blouse. The later patterns didn't have the hidden (brass) buttons. I had also deduced it to be a G3. Ron
