WM20 front spindle query

Hi all,

Another query from the front...

I've just assembled the front wheel of my WM21 build. The near (left) side has a half nut, which locks the larger nut that adjusts the taper bearing. However, there isn't a similar half nut on the brake side. Looking at the wheel hub diagram on the Draganfly site, this is correct. If so, what prevents the large nut moving? Please, not just Loctite.

Re: WM20 front spindle query

On one side the nut locks the bearing against a shoulder on the spindle to make a 'fixed' bearing...Free play is then adjusted at the other end using the nut and lock nut...When correctly adjusted there should be 1/32nd to 1/16th of an inch movement at the wheel rim..Ian

Does this illustration help? 44 is the adjusting nut, 45 is its lock nut.BSA supplied special thin spanners for the job. Ron
