Re: Enfield date and forum

Well this is not an M20 site, but all WD bikes, so no problem there!

I'm sure Jan will chime in for dating the bike, and he makes nice parts too!

Parts can also be ordered online with Hitchcocks, they have a nice website with the parts schematics on it. select 1945-46 models, and most will be the same as wartime.

Is it a sidevalve or OHV?

Thanks, I am really not sure if OHV or SV? Will send you a few pics to your email.

Does original tanks and shocks come up for sale often?

Thanks

Re: Enfield date and forum

Very strange... Number 72975 is not a WD Enfield number at all! Yes, some pictures would be useful!

Yes, I have gotten the pictures, but it is a Norton frame, cannot see if WD or not, have sent the pictures on to Rik, but he's not doing emails much anymore! will send them to you, Jan.

Re: Enfield date and forum

Ok, last night I got word from Rik, and he confirms that it is, or rather was a Norton 16H, from around 1937, a civillian one.

But I'm afraid it's too far gone to restore it, the tubes must be wafer thin.

A nice wallhanger maybe?

Cheers,

Lex
