Since Gurmukh's inquiry on the for sale page (Batteries for sale), he has emailed me with details about his bike, which I thought was interesting enough to share here.(I asked about the sidecar mounts). Hopefully he will carry on with updates as he proceeds. Ron>>>>>

Thanks a lot for your quick reply , will contact Arnaud , the sidecar mounts were made on a lathe machine and TIG/ MIG welded on a spare M20’s frame and with no damage to the original frame packed and stored but I punched the same frame number on this frame with the sidecar mounts .
The idea is to ride this bike with the BSA’s original sidecar , luckily I got one from Norway few years back . This particular BSA which I have is very unique in my collection I have some original photos from the World War 2 (British India) and this bike was used in the battle of Imphal and Burma in year 1944- 1945 and I also got the records of the regiment it was used ( 20th Infantry Division India ) . My grandfather was from the same regiment but he never rode any motorcycle in this entire life .
Thanks a lot Ron for helping me getting my dream project more closer.
Hello Rob ,
I really don,t have any information or record about the sidecars used with the motorbikes during the World War 2 in India , this idea to attach the BSA's original sidecar was all mine , just to make and go on a long distance ride with all my WW2 gears.
Hi Gurmukh,
What I think I was saying, was it doesn't look the usual shape. As Ron pointed out there was a different one used. I'm sure that there was a thread about them. It may have been in one of Nathan's threads. Gurmukh, your M20 is looking very nice, looking forward to seeing the finished bike.
