I received an email today which appears to be a response to my request for a set of bars. Looks like a scam to me. Any thoughts?

This guy has a lot of parts for sale. He replied to my request for 16h parts with a photo of a very nice 16h that he is parting out. The same photo was posted recently by the real owner on the 16h FB page.

I got an email yesterday with following text from a fellow named "Michael Freeborn".

"Hello,
I am michael just want to know if you are still interested in 16H spares you requested for, please shoot me an email if you are still interested.
Have a nice day."


The wording makes me extremely suspicious and I relegated it to the unwanted email box.
Years ago they also came with fairly similar wording, usually with a reference to Money transfer via "Western Union".
I am fairly sure the money will disappear and parts will never come.

Be carefull with health and money!!

Despite offering “to buy” the bike, he said he couldn’t as he promised his son he would “wreck” the bike to complete 2 other projects

I called him on it asked him to go away & leave us alone - all of were working hard to get the dosh to buy these things & didn’t need his like on our forum
