Total shot in the dark here. I'm working on a friend's boardtracker special and amazingly it has a 3tw gearbox and I assume clutch in it. Does anyone have any experience/parts for one of these? I know it's very rare but if you don't ask you don't get.
Thanks
A 3TW is one of the rarest! A 350 OHV twin of which I know of only one complete surviving bike. Developed during 1940 and nearly all lost during the bombing of Coventry.
Triumph used the same pre war box up to the 60's although I don't know about the 3TW box which somehow looks different. But probably the internals and clutch are the same. Ron
I'd be surprised if the gearbox internals were the same as it looks externally very different, though some parts would probably be shared as there are a few Triumph gearbox parts that didn't change for decades...
The clutch might well be the same one fitted to the singles or the smaller capacity post war twins...The bike was revamped (substantially) after the war to become the 3T Deluxe..Ian
