Triumph 3hw bushings!!!

Hi all, any advise out there regarding getting my 3hw triumph forks re bushed, live in Surrey so guess jake robbins is an option, unless anyone knows a better place, and what roughly would it cost ish????
Cheers simon

Re: Triumph 3hw bushings!!!

I'd give John Brewster a ring. He makes all the Triumph Spindles, Bushes and headstock bearings and re-bushed a set of 3HW forks for another mate. Ron

Re: Triumph 3hw bushings!!!

I left my forks with him and he never answered the phone again.I ended up buying another set of forks. So he ripped me off for about 1500 pounds

Re: Triumph 3hw bushings!!!

Hi Simon
As Ron stated, John Brewster is the guy - not so far from you
He does go to Kempton - next in June - but does sometimes turn up at other events
Worth asking if he is going to any of the Elk promotions events in May
Might need him myself as I aquired a 3hw before Christmas lockdown
He also provides many in the trade with steering head cups & cones too
Hope all well in sunny Surrey

Re: Triumph 3hw bushings!!!

Can I point out that the original query from Simon was Feb last year and that John did a good job on his forks and John has done another set for a friend, and supplied parts to another friend. I don't know how set up John is for general fork overhauls, but as he makes the parts for Triumph's and has the knowledge and workshop facilities, he has at least done some Triumph forks that I know of.
